Footwork whiz kid, DJ Earl entered the musical world in 2005 by means of dance battle. Joining the Creation Crew, he participates to local parties in the skating rinks building up his unfailing knowledge of this culture. In 2008 he meets DJ Spinn and DJ Rashad, and suddenly it was a trigger for him, he started to produce his own footwork tracks and will soon join the Ghetto Teknitianz beside Spinn, Rashad, Traxman and many others.
Digging his influences in footwork godfathers as RP Boo or Traxman, he also gets his inspiration in hip hop work as 9th Wonder, J-Dilla or Timbaland.
Just turned 20 and already many releases, DJ Earl represent the new generation of Chicago’s sound, between jazz and funk tunes, devilish synthesizers, unstructured hip hop samples, heavy sub basses and mesmerizing snares. His EP composed of six footwork tracks shows all his ability to produce, between techncity and minimalism, Earl’s sound is identifiable through all, soulfull or razor-sharp, he hasn’t finish to make you shake your head but mostly your feet!

Ghettotech is born on Detroit’s techno ashes, it’s a combination of different influences going with each step of the local youth, and a musical typical style that one can’t hate. Digging its influences in Miami bass, hip hop, funk reinventing electro musical codes, it never stopped giving the Motor City its predominant spot on the global musical scene since the mid 90’s.

Brian Jeffries aka Dj Godfather, whom was thought by his father as a professional hockey player, is soon interested in music. It became his way of living. He creates his auditory concrete with his mythical labels Twilight 76, Databass or Juke Trax, exhausting thousands of copies of his classics.  Having an incredible technique behind the turntables and a special gift to smash clubs, we stopped counting his successes neither his gigs throughout the globe.

How Booty Call Records could not release an EP of one of its principal inspiration? More than a godfather, he’s now a good friend, a full member of our big family to whom we offer our eleventh release. Focused on basses and on sharp and lewd rhythmic and gimmicks, Dj Godfather is inviting us  to stick closer to the subwoofers’, where girls are the most lustful, where everything is possible. DJ Godfather offers us four burning hot original tracks, going from classical ghetto-tech (with Detroit‘s artists Lil Mz 313 and Good Money), European influences to Chicago Juke with a track in collaboration with DJ Rashad.

Born in Chicago, juke comes from House and Hip-hop. Real institution of the ‘Windy City’, it smashes every block party up, every battle of ‘footwork’ (ultra-fast rampageous dance essentially based on legs movements), where we can appreciate the local youth executing the dislocated dance steps characteristics of the genre.
Juke and Footwork pioneer in France, Leatherface has been recognized by the genuine (and local) scene, he creates in 2007 (with the support of DJs Slugo and Deeon) the French subsidiary of the collective Violator Juke Squad DJs, gathering the first French-speaking Juke producers. Three EPs later, on the Detroit-based record label ’ Juke Trax ’ (DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, DJ Clent…), including the already classics ‘Beetlejuke’ or ‘Ghetto Boy’, he produces in 2008 the track ’ Ultimate Feeling ’ with Candyman, released on the Finnish label Top Billin’, featured on the vinyl Sexytime EP.
Co-founder of Nightmare Juke Squad, he releases end of 2010 the ’ Nightmare Juke Squad - Rated R ‘compilation. Remixer for The Escapists, Goldielocks, Regulators or Streets Of Rage, Leatherface delivers us this month a long format, consisting in ten Juke and Footwork original, highly diverse and efficient tracks.
Named by the biggest, the leather faced French still pushes away further and further the art of sampling and going to the edge, never choosing the easyway, he gets his inspiration from Gothic Dark Ambient, southern Hip-hop, horror movies soundtracks or Psychedelic Rock.
Working in deep groove and syncopation, constantly uncertain, he attacks ghetto music with a chain saw by its ‘Tales of the Jukesaw’

Née à Chicago, la juke puise ses origines dans la House et le Hip-Hop. Réelle institution de la ‘Windy City’, elle fait vibrer chaque block party, chaque battle de danse « footwork » (danse frénétique ultra-rapide basée essentiellement sur les mouvements de jambes), où l’on peut apprécier la jeunesse locale exécutant des pas de danse désarticulés caractéristiques du genre.
Pionnier Juke & Footwork en France, reconnu par la scène originale et locale, Leatherface crée en 2007 (avec le soutien des DJ Slugo et Deeon) la filiale française du collectif Violator Juke Squad DJ’s réunissant les premiers producteurs Juke francophones. Travaillant en profondeur groove et syncope, constamment sur le fil du rasoir, il marque ainsi la ghetto music à grands coups de tronçonneuse avec’Tales of the Jukesaw’

At 20 years old, DJub is a young prodigy of european bass music. After 4 years behind the turntables and one year as a producer, he plays regularly in parties and shares the lineups with well known DJs and many locals.

Summer 2009 he creates with Coma and Namto the collective Nasty Dowze. With the only goal to transmit their passion for their favorite Ghetto music styles.

His favorite styles? Ghetto Tech and Juke, still not so wellknown by the belgian electro public, he manages very quickly to be acknowledge by french DJs like Kaptain Cadillac, Bros Before Hoes… for his efficient productions and becomes part of the future of Ghetto music. 

Djub signs his first E.P. on Booty Call Records, four original tracks 100% dancefloor and definitly symbolic of the belgian ghetto scene. Taste the fix!
